My Background

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Notre Dame of Maryland University and a Master's Degree in Transformative Leadership and Social Change (my thesis centered around Holistic Wellness) from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. In my previous life I worked in corporate management, my "job" was chock full of schedules, spreadsheets, payroll ,budgets, meetings, and emails. My little farmette and animal companions were (and still are) my escape and joy. In 2010, I decided to go to Bancroft School of Massage Therapy(BSMT) in Worcester, MA to learn Equine Massage, it was a way for me to give back in gratitude the peace, love, and solace that animals granted to me. After graduating from that 200hr program, I decided to go back the following year for their 200hr program in Small Animal and Canine Massage Therapy, this was my side gig and "escape" from the monotony of my corporate career.
After almost two decades of working for “the man,” I had an epiphany, some may say "mid-life" awakening, that I truly loathed my career and no longer wanted to stay in that field. I left that job and took a giant (albeit scary) leap of faith into the realm of Human Massage and Bodywork. In 2016, I graduated from Holistic Massage Therapy Institute in Baltimore, MD and I haven't looked back.
I am a perpetual learner and student of life, between 2010 to present I've continued my education in the Healing Arts. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner (Usui, SSR, Karuna, and Animal), I've taken animal osteopathy, cadaver clinics, aromatherapy and acupressure courses, and Postural Rehabilitation. I've also pursued further study into Craniosacral Therapy, Lymphatic Detox, Spontaneous Muscle Release Techniques (SMRT Therapy), Visceral Manipulation, Cupping, Red Light/Infrared Light Therapy, Pulse Electro Magnetic Frequency (PEMF), Advanced Energy Healing, Crystals, Homeopathy, and the learning continues…..

My Approach
I have a strong interest in wellness and creating a healing environment, I seek to empower those in my practice, showing them how they too can partner in their own wellness. I am fortunate to have a stellar arsenal of healing tools to pull from and will often merge and meld different modalities in any given bodywork session. I believe in a whole body method of treatment. We are more than sinew and muscle, I seek to aid body, mind, and spirit for an overall Therapeutic experience. The wisdom of our body is second to none, no treatment is ever the same as we are ever changing.
